Why Neptabolt

Enterprise engineering, without the enterprise friction.

We build scalable, cloud-native architecture and AI capabilities with the agility of a startup but the rigor of an enterprise. No proprietary lock-in, no black-box development — just modern technology built for longevity.

AI-First Approach

We design AI capabilities into the architecture from the ground up — not retrofitted into systems that were never meant to reason.

Modern Technology Stack

Every technology choice is made for its long-term maintainability, not for our familiarity. Mainstream, documented, replaceable.

Cloud-Native Architecture

Infrastructure designed to scale with your business — containerised, reproducible, and observable from day one.

Scalable Solutions

We build for the traffic you don't have yet: multi-tenant data models, async queuing, and horizontal scale paths designed in before you need them.

Security by Design

Least-privilege access, input validation, secrets management, and dependency auditing are gates on merging — not a checklist before launch.

Long-Term Technology Partner

We measure success by how little you need us after handover. Retainers exist because the work is good, not because leaving is hard.

The company

A technology company built on engineering excellence.

Neptabolt is a technology partner delivering AI-powered software, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise solutions. We build scalable systems and then hand over the code, infrastructure, and documentation in full.

We operate across the entire technology stack, because true digital transformation requires deep expertise in every layer — from the database and infrastructure up to the intelligent algorithms and user interfaces. One cohesive team spanning the whole path removes costly handoffs and architectural friction.

Whether we are integrating large language models into your operations, migrating legacy workloads to the cloud, or engineering a custom SaaS platform from scratch, our methodology remains identical: modern tools, transparent processes, and engineering practices designed for longevity.

The test we hold ourselves to is simple — if you replaced us tomorrow, could your next team pick this up without calling us? Everything below exists to make the answer yes.

  • Enterprise AI Integration

You have vast amounts of data but lack the infrastructure to make it actionable through intelligent systems.

We build robust, scalable AI pipelines that integrate directly into your existing architecture — securely, predictably, and owned entirely by you.

  • Cloud-Native Transformation

Your legacy infrastructure is slowing down development, increasing costs, and making scaling difficult.

We architect and migrate systems to modern cloud environments using containerization and infrastructure-as-code, ensuring high availability and zero lock-in.

  • Custom SaaS & Platforms

You are building a digital product that needs to scale to millions of users with enterprise-grade security.

We provide end-to-end software engineering, from system design to deployment, handing over a clean, documented, and production-ready codebase.

Solutions

Comprehensive engineering for every layer of your business.

We design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade software across the full technology stack. Each solution is architected for scale and handed over completely.

Methodology

Six stages, engineered for longevity.

Discovery through launch is standard. What we design for is stage six: ensuring the system operates reliably, scales effortlessly, and remains entirely yours.

  1. Discover

    Week 1

We begin by understanding your business objectives, technical constraints, and operational bottlenecks. We scope the problem deeply before suggesting a solution.

  2. Strategize

    Week 2

We map out the architecture, infrastructure requirements, and a phased execution plan. You receive a clear blueprint and a realistic technical roadmap.

  3. Design

    Weeks 3-4

Systems, databases, and interfaces are designed for scalability. We validate workflows and architecture before committing to production code.

  4. Build

    Continuous

We develop in iterative sprints with CI/CD integration from day one. You see working software weekly, deployed to your own staging environment.

  5. Deploy

    Release

Automated, zero-downtime deployments with comprehensive monitoring and alerting. We launch with confidence, backed by robust rollback plans.

  6. Optimize

    Ongoing

Post-launch performance tuning, security patching, and scaling operations. We hand over the keys while remaining available for continuous improvement.

Technologies

Mainstream tools, chosen so anyone can maintain what we build.

Every technology here is widely adopted, well documented and hireable-for. That is the selection criterion, not novelty — a stack your next engineer already knows is part of owning your software outright.

We will also work in whatever your team already runs. If you have an existing .NET, Rails or PHP codebase, the right answer is usually to strengthen it rather than rewrite it in something we like better.

Industries

Sectors where the constraints shape the software.

Domain knowledge matters most where the rules are non-negotiable — audit trails, consent, uptime, offline operation. These are the areas we have built against those constraints before.

  • Enterprise

Modernizing legacy systems, breaking down monoliths into microservices, and automating operational workflows for Fortune 500 companies.

  • High-Growth Startups

Architecting scalable foundations for Series A+ startups. We build platforms that handle hyper-growth without buckling under technical debt.

  • Financial Services

Secure, compliant, and highly available infrastructure for fintech platforms, payment gateways, and banking institutions.

  • Healthcare & Life Sciences

HIPAA-compliant software, telemedicine platforms, and data pipelines for processing complex medical data.

  • Retail & E-Commerce

Headless commerce architecture, omnichannel integration, and AI-driven personalization for global retail brands.

  • Manufacturing & Logistics

Supply chain visibility, offline-first mobile apps for field workers, and IoT integration for predictive maintenance.

  • Education & EdTech

Scalable learning management systems, virtual classrooms, and student analytics dashboards.

  • Government & Public Sector

Secure, accessible, and highly reliable public infrastructure portals and citizen services.

Not listed? Sector familiarity shortens discovery — it is rarely the thing that decides whether a project succeeds. Tell us the problem and we will be straight with you about the learning curve.

Portfolio

What our projects actually look like from the inside.

Three engagements, described by problem and scope rather than by logo.

Client names and identifying details are withheld under non-disclosure agreement. These describe the shape of real engagements — the problem, the scope, and what was handed over. They deliberately carry no performance figures or named results, because we will not publish numbers we cannot attribute.

  • Financial servicesAnonymisedCase Study

    Internal operations platform

    The problem

A regulated operations team ran reconciliation across a chain of shared spreadsheets. Every month-end depended on two people and their undocumented knowledge.

    Our approach

We modelled the real workflow before proposing software, then built a web application around it with role-based permissions and a full audit trail on every record change.

    Delivered

    • Web application with role-based access control
    • Append-only audit log across all record changes
    • Automated import from existing banking exports
    • Infrastructure defined in Terraform

    Handover

Repository, cloud account, and pipeline transferred to the client's IT function, with runbooks and a walkthrough for their in-house developer.

  • RetailAnonymisedCase Study

    Headless commerce replatform

    The problem

A monolithic storefront had become slow to change — every merchandising tweak needed a developer, and seasonal traffic peaks were a standing risk.

    Our approach

We separated the storefront from the commerce backend, moved content into a CMS the merchandising team controls directly, and load-tested the checkout path before migration.

    Delivered

    • Headless storefront with server-side rendering
    • CMS-driven merchandising, no developer in the loop
    • Checkout and payment integration
    • Load-tested release with a documented rollback plan

    Handover

Client's team took over content and campaign operations at launch; the codebase was handed to their existing agency without a transition retainer.

  • LogisticsAnonymisedCase Study

Field mobile app & cloud backend

    The problem

Drivers recorded deliveries on paper because the depot's software assumed constant connectivity — which the routes did not have.

    Our approach

We built an offline-first mobile app that queues work locally and reconciles on reconnect, backed by a cloud API sized to the depot's real concurrency rather than a guess.

    Delivered

    • Offline-first cross-platform mobile app
    • Conflict-resolving sync layer
    • Cloud API with monitoring and alerting
    • Store release pipeline under the client's developer accounts

    Handover

Both store accounts, signing keys, and the release pipeline were registered to the client throughout; our access was revoked on the agreed date.

What to expect

We would rather commit to standards than quote ourselves.

Testimonials are easy to write and hard to verify. These are the working commitments of an engagement — specific enough that you would notice immediately if we broke one.

A demo every week

Working software in your environment, on a fixed day. If a week produced nothing demonstrable, we say so and explain why rather than filling the slot.

A named engineer, not a queue

You know who is building your product and you talk to them directly. Questions do not route through an account manager who then relays them.

Decisions in writing

Technical choices with long-term consequences are recorded with their reasoning and their trade-offs, in your repository, where they outlive the conversation.

Scope changes costed before they start

When something new comes up mid-build, you get the cost and the schedule impact before work begins — not on the following invoice.

Questions

The things worth asking before you hire anyone.

Including the ones agencies would rather you did not ask.

Something not covered here? Email us — you will get a straight answer within one business day.

  • Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You do — outright, and from the beginning rather than on final payment. Code is committed to your repository, infrastructure runs in accounts registered to you, and the contract assigns all intellectual property in the deliverables to your company. We retain no licence back and hold no rights over what we build for you.

  • How long does a project take?

A focused first release is typically several weeks; a substantial platform runs into months. The honest answer depends entirely on scope, on how many external systems have to be integrated, and on how quickly decisions can be made on your side. Discovery exists to replace that estimate with a real schedule before you commit to a build.

  • How do you price work?

Discovery is a fixed fee. After that we quote either a fixed price against a defined scope, or a monthly rate for a dedicated team when the roadmap is genuinely still moving. We will tell you which one fits your project rather than defaulting to whichever is better for us, and scope changes are costed and approved before the work starts.

  • How will we communicate during the build?

A shared channel with your engineers in it, a board you can read at any time without asking, and a working demo every week. Written questions get a reply within one business day. You are never dependent on a scheduled meeting to find out where things stand.

  • What happens after launch?

Handover, first. Your engineers get a walkthrough, complete runbooks, and the environments in their own accounts. From there a support retainer is available for monitoring, dependency and security patching, and continued feature work — but it is an option you choose, not a dependency we built in.

  • What if we want to move to another team?

You can, and the handover is designed for it. There is no exit fee, no proprietary framework to unpick, and no data we hold. We aim to be replaceable — a supplier you stay with because the work is good is a healthier arrangement than one you stay with because leaving is expensive.

  • Can you work alongside our existing developers?

Yes. We work inside your repository, your review process, and your standards, and we are comfortable being the smaller half of a team. Where your team lacks a specific capability, we can also focus narrowly on that and stay out of the rest.

  • Will you sign an NDA?

Yes, before any commercially sensitive detail is discussed. Most of our work is covered by one, which is why this site describes engagements without naming clients or publishing their results.
